8) Crafts. If you have time, adding a craft to your lesson, even if it's just once every few classes or so, can really help. You can always take something very simple (such as making a Mother's day card with construction paper) and grade it up for the older learners (by having them write a message, for example). Everyone gets to learn by following your directions. The older learners can help the younger learners. And even if you keep the craft very, very simple, each student will be able to make a craft that suits their level of maturity.
7) Use Super Simple ABCs :-) Lower Case for the older ones and Upper Case for the Lower ones. You'll be able to do the same activities, sing the same songs, introduce the same vocabulary, have everyone work in their books at the same time, and stay on the same pace, but the older learners will have a book at their level and the younger ones will have a book at their level.
