So... the dinner was last night and I guess that it was pretty okay.

Venue wise it was kinda... cramped and the lighting was awful hence crappy photos. I personally hate taking photos indoors if there's no natural or good lighting cuz I hate using flash. So yea, sorry for the photos that came out blur and crappy, I should've used the Sports feature instead even though the photos would've turned out super grainy. Ah well.
Food was pretty much standard but there were
bugs inside the drink.
NOW PREPARE FOR THE CRAPPY BALLROOM LIGHTING PHOTOS 8D
Inconstant photos because I PS-ed them at different times. The first few more yellowish ones were PS-ed
before I got my 6 hour nap.

The dinner was 30 - 45 minutes before scheduled time, most likely due to the fact that it was a weekday (most parents were working), it was raining and there was traffic jam.

OMG I TOOK A CLEAR PHOTO 8DD;;
Char Lie and Chi Yan managed to turn up in the end 8DD But the reason why they had to turn up was utterly ridiculous. They were threatened that they'd be fired. Seriously very stupid. By right, you can't force them to go since money is involved and therefore turning this into extortion. What to do... our teachers are like this >_____>
Anyway, the activities didn't go too smoothly due to the lack of time and phail PA system.
The dinner was a little dull IMHO because all we did was have dinner, watch performances and sat through the lucky draws. I was kinda looking forward to the games
(was canceled due to the delays) although I almost never participate in such activities. I get the entertainment out of watching and observing the other people, not by participating myself.
Atmosphere. I didn't quite feel it. Wasn't hyped up about the dinner in the first place anyway. But I didn't really feel much excitement in the air. Then again, the others are still in the midst of sitting for their exams so that explains a lot.
I think most of the prefects were well-dressed. Seeing Kye Chin and Ying in dresses was good enough *w* And I was actually surprised that the guys didn't go too casual this time.
Why are collared T-shirts even allowed in the first place? It's not even semi formal =A= So thumbs up for the guys

There wasn't much emphasis on the theme (Memories) and truth to be told, I find it to be a very generic and plain theme. Not like the school admin would let us do anything over the top in the first place anyway. I think getting the approval to host the dinner outside school is already meh enough.

But the ventilation was good. It got cold by the end of the dinner. I LIKE *w*
And the backdrop turned out much larger than we expected. It made an awesome picnic mat for us in the library while we (
suwen, ying, shiao yen, yen ling, geok suan and i. shye wei and chi yan too if you count the non-visible glitter) were doing the backdrop. The backdrop was a NIGHTMARE to complete. And Shiao Yen called the s
houjo 8DD sparkles I drew and had cut out ugly =3=

I rate the dinner
★★★☆☆ in overall. I wanted to rate it 3.5 but how am I to find a half star? I think the committee did considerably well for a first time. The dinner could've been better in many aspects and there's a lot of room for improvement. So hopefully the others from my year took note so that they can plan something at the same or hopefully better standard >______>
I wouldn't want to plan it because my ideas and preferences would be too over-the-top for a school function and I don't want to deal with some irritating teachers.
I would like to bring up a matter regarding the staff at the venue though. They were snapping photos of the girls towards the ending of the dinner. I highly DOUBT that they would be using those photos for their future promotions and such. I'm partially affected by
cosplay photography etiquette
so I personally HATE it
(even more than before) when photos are taken of me by random strangers, especially guys, in discreet. I don't really care if it were my close friends who do it but seriously, it's pretty creepy if a random person goes all snap happy on you without your acknowledgment.
As per quoted by
this
website :-

DO ask for permission before snapping photos. It’s
basic human courtesy.

DO NOT throw a fit if the cosplayer you asked happens to refuse to letyou take a picture of them. I’ve heard one photographer call a ladycosplayer the B word just because she said no to his request for a photo op. Cosplayers
have their reasons for not being able to comply with your request, and it’s probably nothing personal. Just smile, thank them, and walk away to look for another, friendlier cosplayer.
But in this case I would completely REFUSE if some sleazy men ask for photos. It's disgusting and leaves a very unpleasant feeling. And in normal situations (not related to cosplay at all) you WOULD refuse if some random men ask you for your photos, YES? Even in cosplay you'd have to be cautious too because there will
always be perverted photographers looking out for eye candy.

DO
respect the personal space of the cosplayers — especially the ladies
I think this goes for just anybody, cosplayer or not.
LOL, I wonder why the staff even need or want those photos. Are they pedophiles or something? -____-;;; Assholes exist in this world and there were clearly some present at the dinner >________>
SO MOVING ON...

Shiao Yen didn't get to stay in her dress for long and she was so cute in it too

It took a serious amount of effort to get this one photo of Kye Chin but it was worth it

And this is Ying,
you may adress her with "-sama" because she's going to be the future world dictator 8DD who refused to take off her jacket because she was
cold . We tried to take it off for her but failed =3=

Yen Ling, Yen Ling. We were talking about our dresses while finishing up the backdrop on Thursday. And then Su Wen asked her what her dress was like. The first she she told us was that her dress had a zip all the way from the top to the bottom
(at the front) of her dress xDD

My date *is shot violently by Ying xDDDD* We were supposed to date on Luna Online to get goodies during Halloween but Luna Online didn't allow dating between characters of the same sex.

Su Wen didn't get to take off her shawl until much later because one of the teachers got really particular about the girls who bared their shoulders and stuff. Quite a waste because Su Wen's dress' cut and design was so unique and pretty.

I didn't get a very complete group photo because some left early and the others were badly blurred. But it's pretty amusing to see how Su Wen and Kye Chin look like in this particular photo xDDD

I didn't even realize that she was holding my hand xP

AND FINALLY A PHOTO OF YING WITH HER JACKET OFF 8DD

Su Wen couldn't recognize Serena at first lol. I voted Serena as the most strict prefect
(that's a huge part of her that made her the good head prefect she was anyway). I don't see Farn Ye as "strict" xD
We were a bit confused when we read the voting sheet because while some categories had M and F for Male and Female, there were some with M and A which we jokingly assumed was for Male and Asexual.
I definitely got back after midnight and it took awhile to remove the hairpins from my hair. My hair was temporarily curly from the pleats.

I CAN HAZ CURLY-ISH HAIR xDD;; B/W photo because the dual tone in my skin due to shadowing was seriously hilarious.
And because I had to take a shower, I could only get to sleep after 2AM and I died by the time I came back from school today. I had a 6 hour nap, it was good.... xDDDD;;;
And regarding videos, at the moment, I can't seem to upload the files ANYWHERE. Everytime I upload it to YouTube, the 400MB file is uploaded in 15-30 seconds which is already very weird. But the website will hang and cause my browser and computer to hang. And it happened while I was transferring photos and videos out of my camera so a few files (the videos) were corrupted in the process and I have no back up copy. I'm sorry Shiao Yen, the video I recorded of you and your brother's performance died
I've tried uploading it to Megupload but I still get the same problem. I don't know if uploading the videos up to Facebook will be any different but I'm giving it a shot. The file size also exceeds Nico Nico Douga's max.
*EDIT* Okay, it was my anti virus that screwed up my computer (AVG prompted me to upgrade etc etc and then it made my computer PMS ==) But yea, I still lost some files so I'll upload whatever I have left to the next post.
PLEASE DO NOT HOTLINK THE PHOTOS. UPLOAD THEM TO YOUR OWN SERVER AND CREDIT IF USED. THANKS.
