シリーズ最終作・最強進化を遂げた３作目のサントラが発売
ＺＥＲＯ３は前作の流れを踏襲しつつ様々な仕様変更が行われました
その熟成効いたゲームバランス等は現在でも愛される作品として
賞賛されています
カプコン格ゲー音楽方向性が変わってきたなと強く思うのがこの、ＺＥＲＯ３でして
テクノやトランス・デジロックなどを中心とした色々な音楽形態で聴くものを
縛らない豊富な音楽ジャンルでにゲーム音楽の新しい形を提案してきている
また、そういう意欲がよくわかるサントラになっています
クラブ系音楽が好きな人なら違和感なく聴きとおせるが、
ゲーム的な音楽を期待すると失敗するはめになると思う
ＺＥＲＯ３のは特にそういうのが強い印象を受けた。
ライナーノーツでは、作曲に参加したコンポーザーのコメントが
充実しており、それらを読みながら音楽を聴き返すと曲のよさが
見えてきたりと抜かりのないカプコンのサービス戦略が行き届いて
個人的に満足

本作はゲームソフトメーカー「SQUARE ENIX」の放つ新ブランドとして
本格始動する次世代RPGプロジェクトの第二弾作品となる。
ゲームは発売前から全世界のRPGファンから注目を浴び続け
全90曲を超える収録内容。映像とともに記憶に刻まれる楽曲は、
メロディアスで優美な旋律から、モンスターとバトルするシーンでの
強烈なインパクトを与える楽曲まで多種多様に渡りハイクオリティで
緻密な音楽設計が施されている。
レビュー
当初は箱専用ＲＰＧとして発売されるのが話題でしたが以降にＰＳ３・ＰＣ版で発売されるという少しセコい印象を受けたが、
全世界でもなかなかの評価の高いＲＰＧとして評価できる作品です
そんな通称ラスレムは、ファイナルファンタジーのテイストに
ロマンシング・サガのゲームシステム寄りな構成に加え、
仲間になる登場人物３００人近くのぼり、戦闘は最大７０人分の
描画で戦闘が展開されるといった大規模ＳＬＧＲＰＧ。
ＸＢＯＸ／ＰＳ３版では未完成、的な評価をされているが後に発売した
ＰＣ版の仕様が多機種版と違い本来のあるべき姿としてのラスレムを
楽しめる内容になっている。
ＰＣの性能に依存するとは思いますが、処理落ちやロード時間に不満を感じる事は無く、それでいて高画質な解像度で楽しめるのは
ＰＣならではだと思った。
ロマサガ系の人も多数参加しているせいか戦闘音楽はハードロック
調のものが多く、近年には珍しいゲームらしい熱いゲーム曲が
大量投入されているので、戦闘に重きを置いている本作にはまさに
待ってましたと言わんばかりの音楽群です。
ミンサガやメガテン３系、ＦＦシリーズのリメイク曲で知られたTHE BLACK MAGES 等の曲が好きな人にはあのままのノリなので
ゲーム未プレイでも新しく気に入る曲が発掘できる楽しみがある。
戦闘以外の音楽は良い意味で極端に静かなＦＦ風なので
そのギャップ差がこのサントラの良さを引き立てていると思う
