Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment, the developer behind the upcoming "Battlefield 4" on the PS4 and Xbox 720, has been testing Oculus Rift. According to a post from the official "Battlefield" Twitter page, the studio released a short video clip showing them trying on the virtual reality headset accessory. You can check out some screens from the first-person shooting video game in the slideshow at the top of this article.
"Battlefield 4" is being built using the Frostbite 3 game engine for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox 720. A recent job listing suggested that Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment was looking to implement Oculus Rift sol republic headphones to the aforementioned engine, which is also sol republic tracks hd being used for "Dragon Age 3: Inquisition" as well as the next video game from the "Mass Effect" series. A retail version of the virtual reality headset accessory will be released next year.
Electronic Arts will be publishing "Battlefield 4" when the first-person shooter launches for the aforementioned platforms in the North American region sometime later this fall.
