I hope everyone had a beautiful Saturday today. I was concerned this morning because of the multiple earthquakes in Yamanashi-ken. There were at least 3 earthquakes with a Shindo intensity of 3 or higher. One was a 5-lower.

I do not think I am going to be able to travel to Japan this year due to budget. I am going to tentatively say that I will travel to Japan in the Spring of 2013 to see the sakura bloom. I will also go to Singapore. This may change, but for now, unless a good opportunity comes (with some money involved...)

We just had a Shindo-3 for a very remote area of Japan (Ishigaki-jima, very close to Taiwan).

Also did some shopping for lolita dresses tonight.. I am getting married soon and I need a dress that will double as both a wedding dress and a lolita dress. I like the country and classical lolita styles. (Remember, I am a size 2L, which makes things a little more of a challenge, but I am grateful for Maxicmam and Body Line who advertise 2L larger sizes.

This was an x'mas present from Eva.

I have been making some improvements on J1's Earthquake Early Warning system. The system now interrupts the J1 broadcast when a Shindo 5- or greater activation is received. Fortunately, we have not had one lately. J1 has also been improving our Tokyo Travel and Weather system with better coverage of JR East and Tokyo Metro and more upgrades coming soon.




Eva and I had our first real night out since I have been here in Maryland. I LOVE PRIME RIB!! I hope I can someday find a place in Tokyo for a good prime rib that is not 10,000 yen for dinner. （笑）




Eva asked me to bring back newspapers from Tokyo. She has made a couple of creative things with them.

Eva likes zombies. She is now making zombie lolita dolls.
