10年前、あなたは何をしていましたか？そこにお人形はいましたか？

転んだり寄り道したりスキップしたり、夢中で前に進んでいるうち、2001年に誕生したmomokoは10周年を迎えました。

この10年、momokoを続けてこられたのは、ひとえに支えてくださったmomokoファンの皆様のおかげです。ありがとうございます！

集めるだけじゃない、着せ替えるだけじゃない、飾るだけじゃない…。お人形遊びの枠を超えた創造性あふれる新しい楽しみ方を見せてくださるファンの方も多く、刺激を受け、いつも新しい提案ができるよう心がけてきました。momokoファンの皆様との切磋琢磨、真剣勝負で、今後もmomokoはエッジの効いた存在で有り続けたいと願っています。

正直にお話しすると、７周年の時のようなイベントをこの８月に準備していました。しかし、2011年３月11日東日本大震災発生。震災以前に考えた企画を見直さなければ、表面的な10周年になってしまうと感じ、延期することにしました。

2011年８月～2012年７月を10周年Yearとし、momokoをもっといろんな方に知っていただけるように、momokoをもっと続けていけるように、momokoらしさを追求していきます。

momokoは嘘をつきません。そしていつも、いつまでもmomokoがあなたのそばにいられるよう、これからの10年も私は力を尽くします。
ピンとくるmomokoがあったら、お手にとっていただければ幸いです。

最後になりますが、セキグチの皆さん、原型師さん、外注のデザイナーさん、製造工場の皆さん、縫製会社の皆さん、ペットワークスの皆。思いつきや我儘を、全力でカタチにして世に送り出す手伝いをありがとう、これからもよろしくお願いします。

A 10th anniversary message from Namie Manabe, Producer of momoko.


What were you doing 10 years ago? Were there any dolls with you back then?

While passionately moving forward and sometimes tumbling, making stops on the way and skipping, momoko who was born in 2001 is here to celebrate her 10th Anniversary.

I was able to continue momoko for 10 years simply because of all the support from momoko fans. Thank you!!

Not just for collection, dress-ups and displaying… Creative new ways to enjoy dolls beyond the limit of doll-play were presented by many fans and that inspired me to constantly come up with new proposals. Through friendly rivalry and serious matches with momoko fans, momoko wishes to be a cutting-edge presence from here on, too.

To be honest, I was preparing an event like the one for the 7th Anniversary this August. But, the Great East Japan Earthquake happened on March 11, 2011. I decided to postpone the event since I felt that the 10th Anniversary will be superficial unless the plans made prior to the Earthquake are reviewed.

August 2011 - July 2012 is designated as the 10th Anniversary Year to introduce momoko to even more people, to carry on momoko even further, and to pursue the essence of momoko.

momoko doesn’t lie. For always and forever, I hope momoko will be by your side. I will continue to give my best for the next 10 years. If you meet momoko that catches your heart, I hope you will welcome her in your world.

Last but never the least, my gratitude goes out to everyone at SEKIGUCHI, sculptors, designers, everyone at the manufacturing factories, everyone at the sewing factories, and everybody at PetWORKs. Thank you for helping me to materialize my impulse and willfulness to deliver them to the world.
I look forward to our continuing relationships.
