The meaning of Life - 人生の意味

愛するみなさん。

My brothers and sisters.

あなたがたの人生は多くの困難と誘惑に満ちていますか？

Is your life filled with lots of troubles and tests?

そうであれば、喜びなさい。

If so, REJOICE.

行く道の険しさは忍耐を養ういいチャンスとなるからです。

for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the abilty to endure.

今日は、いっぱい泣いた。

Today, I cried a lot.

熱い涙がたくさん頬をつたって落ちていった。

Hot tears ran down my cheeks so much.

でも、精一杯やった。

But I did my best.

だから、笑顔で前をむこう。

So, I'll lift up my eyes with smile

侮辱も、苦しみも、迫害も、困難も大いに喜んでいます。なぜなら、弱いときにこそ、私は強いからです。――無力であればあるほど、それだけしっかりとイエス様によりすがるようになるからです。（コリント12：10）

わたし、知ってる。

I know

神様はちゃんと道を用意してくれてるってこと。

that God always has a plan for me.

どんなにつまずいても、いつも手を離さないでいてくれてること。

Should I stumble again and again, He never let go of my hand.

だから、わたしは心から喜んでる。

So, I rejoice with all my heart.

私の心は、ありがとう！って叫んでる。

My heart is crying to God, 'Thank you!!!!'

ハレルヤ！神様をほめたたえ、新しい歌を歌いましょう！神様の国民（ジーザスライフハウス大阪のみんな）よ、賛美の歌声をあげましょう！

日本よ、あなたを作ってくれた神様を喜びなさい。大阪の人々よ、王であるかたの前でおどりなさい！

タンバリンと竪琴の演奏で、踊りながら神様のお名前をほめたたえましょう！（詩編１４９）

Sing a new song to the Lord, praise Him in the assembly of His faithful people (Jesus Lifehouse Osaka people!)

Be glad, Japan, because of your Creator.

Tomorrow I'll get up early and pick up Sanna at the airport.

第５９回シェイクスピア・プロダクション。

The 59th Shakespeare Production

１１月６日と７日、本番を迎えました。

We finally had a performance on the 6th and the 7th November.

このためにずっとがんばってきたよ。

We worked so hard for this.

今まで人生の中で人前に立ったりとか、こういうのはずっとずっと避けてきた。

I always avoided this sort of standing in front of people thing in my entire life.

私にはできない、って思ってた。

I thought I wouldn't be able to do it.

でも神様がそんな私を変えてくれた！

But God has changed me so much!

「勇士よ、神様はあなたとともにいます。」（士師記６：１２）

"The LORD is with you, mighty warrior."（Judges 6:12）

神様にとって、私が才能あるかとかどんな背景知識を持っているかとか関係ない。

For God, it doesn't matter how talented I am or how much knowledge i've got.

神様が選んでくれたこと、それこどが一番大切なこと。

Being chosen by God, that's the utmost important.

みんなに支えてもらいながら、本当に楽しくがんばってこれた！

I enjoyed being in this production, supported by everyone round me.

５９年続いてきたシェイクスピアプロダクション。今年は約２０年ぶりに伝統ある今出川キャンパスのファウラーチャペルに戻ってきました。

Shakesepare Production is a traditional event of the English department in our uni. This year we came back to this histrical hall 'Fowler Chapel' after about 20-year absence.

チャペルが古いからこそ、ないものだらけで困ったこともあったけど、驚くべきことに必要なものはすべて与えられた。

Because this chapel is pretty old, it proved to be a challenge- we had to create things like set, light, costume from the very beginning. BUT amazingly, I believe God provided everything we needed.

「まず神の国を第一に考えるのなら、神様は必要なものを毎日与えてくださるのです。」（ルカ１２：３１）

But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well（Luke 12:31）

こんなすてきな場所で上演できたことを誇りに思っています

I'm so proud that we had a performance in this lovely hall.

１回生からの友達も、チャーチの家族も、みーんな見に来てくれたよっ

Everyone came to the play, my friends since first year and the church family!

みんな来てくれてありがとう

Thank you guys for coming!

劇を作るのって、人の人生によく似てる。

Creating a play is just like one's life.

幕があいた時点から、役者が美しい光を浴びながら、お話はどんどん前に進んでいく。

Since the curtain opened, the actors are lit up with bright light and the story just keeps going,

でもその間、裏では衣装、音響、照明がめまぐるしく動いて、

Whilst the actors are in the light, staff members are running round in the backstage with costume, music and lighting

役者のために舞台を美しくしてる。

And they're making the stage more beautiful for actors.

うまく言えないけど、わたしたちの人生も幕開けから確実に前に進んでいってて、

I can't explain this well, but our lives keep going forward like a play,

見えないところで神様が私たちの人生を最高の光り輝いたものにしようとしてくれてる。

and God wants to make our lives bright and really great although we can't really see how He's working.

だけど、もし神さまの用意してくれた光に満ちた舞台を降りて、自分の好き放題してしまうとうまくいかないし、つまづいちゃう。

However, if you get out of the stage which is filled with light and go your own way, you would stumble over.

でも

劇と違うところは、わたしたちには台本がないよね。

But unlike a play, we don't have a script to follow.

だから私たちの可能性を制限するものなんて何もない！

Therefore, there's nothing to limit our potential!

私たちの未来はまったく未知の世界だけど明るくって喜びに満ちてる！

Our future is unknown, but so bright and filled with joy!

神様ってすごい

God is so brill

今週の土曜日に、とうとうサンナちゃんフィンランドからやってきます・・・

At last, Sanna is coming from Finland this Saturday...

とーっても楽しみ

今日は一日雨降ってたね

It's been raining all day...

雨はきらいじゃないけど、

I don't really mind a rainy day,

やっぱりそんな日はおうちでのんびり雨の音を聞いていたい・・・

but I'd rather stay at home listening to the rain inside if I could..

・・・・とはいってもそんなわけにもいかず、今日も一日学校でばたばたしてました

However, I had so much to do for uni, so I was up to my ear in work and running round campus all day.

そして大雨に打たれてしまったときに、濡れた服をそのままにしていたため、

And unfortunately, I was caught in a big downpour, and I left my clothes wet,

現在熱が出てしまってますがーん。

naturally, I've got a slight fever at the moment..oh dearie dearie dear.

シェイクスピアプロダクションは、今日からついにチケット販売開始！！

Shakespeare Production started selling tickets today at last!

初日にもかかわらずたくさんのチケットが売れました

Although today was the first day, loads of tickets were sold.

みんな買ってくれてありがとう

Thank you for buying them everyone.

中には二回の公演両方行きます！って言ってくれる子も！！

Some told me that they're gonna come both performances on friday and saturday!

改めて身が引き締まる思いがしました。

It made me feel tense in a good way.

一生懸命やってくれる役者さんを見ても、

When I see our casts trying their best,

こちらも絶対に妥協はしたくない！って思える。

I don't ever want to compromise.

本番まであと約1か月

One month to go!
