この曲は、グラミー賞の時に、ジョン・ポール・ジョーンズ（Led Zeppelinのベーシスト）が指揮、編曲をして、オーケストラとコラボしていました
好きな曲だったので、死ぬほど興奮しましたね

The Pretenderの意味は、偽者です
この曲で言いたいこと、っていうか、この曲の歌詞の意味は、だいたい掴めているのですが、長くなりますし、和訳が上手くいっていなくて、日本語で文章にするのがかなり難しいので、ここでは省略します
ただ、一番好きなサビの部分だけ和訳をば・・・

そのギターの音が凄く好きなんですよ

と言うところで、更に盛り上がってサビに繋がるのがホントに良いです

かなり格好いいんですよ

はじめて聞いたときは、このサビの歌い方に超はまりました
二番サビの後に

と挟まれて、いきなりサビにはいるところも凄く格好いいんですよ
最初はタイミングが掴めなくて、なかなか歌えなかったところです
今じゃ聞きすぎて完璧にタイミング掴めますけどね
全体を通して、ホントにノれる曲ですね
大音量で聞くのをオススメします
