Hello All!

Earlier today, I was looking on Facebook and I saw a post from one of my friends from Elementary school. We don't really talk anymore even though we new each other for about 12 years but we went to different High Schools and we just naturally drifted apart. She got married and had a baby a couple years ago, and we became friends on Facebook...

Anyway, so I noticed something she posted that I wouldn't expect to see. She said that she got a phone call from "Judge Judy" and they wanted her and her husband to go on their show. Judge Judy is a show that has been on day-time American television for many years, and is basically a reality show where people who have court cases present it to Judge Judy. It's not my favorite show, basically one that showcases conflicts. I guess my friend and her husband are currently suing a couple that owes them money, so the show asked them to continue the case on their programme.

Many of our other friends form elementary/middle school commented with things like "I love that show! You should totally go on it!"

I'm not sure if she will go on the show or not but it's amazing to see how such close friends from so long ago can change....

Until next time!

Hello All!

How are you doing today? I've been doing well, I was able to talk to talk to a lot of family members today. I talked to my mom on the phone for over an hour and also chatted with my cousin online for a while too.

Recently, my family and I have been sharing photos and other things using an application called Dropbox, have you heard of it? It's a way of storing your files online so you can share them with others or with your other electronic devices. I use it to upload pictures I take in Japan. Then I add them to Dropbox so she can automatically see the photos and save them/print them or whatever. It's a really useful program for families living overseas.

A free account gives you 2GB of free space, which will definitely save a lot of documents or photographs!

If you are interested in Dropbox and use my link, we will both get an extra 250 mb of space for free! That will hope even more documents/music/pictures.

If you are interested please check it out here . If you choose to sign up for Dropbox using that link, we will both get an extra 250 mb of space! If not, that's totally cool, I just thought it was a useful program and wanted to share.

Until next time!

Hello All!

Recently I found out that one of our good friends just got his first job! He will start working from next month, and is a little nervous because he will have use only Japanese. He is fluent in Japanese, but he never uses Keigo so he needs to practice and was trying to all last night, but some things were kind of strange.

We thought it would be a good idea to have a "Keigo 101 book."

Any reccomendations?

Hello All!

Last night a few friends came over to visit. We mostly talked about random stuff and watched TV (White Collar) but at one point we started looking at Google Maps to see where we all were from. We looked at my hometown, my old university, my friend's apartments in California, London, Milan and New York, and my friend's hometown in Nagasaki!

Google street view is really nifty! Unfortunately, we looked at my town I couldn't see my house because there was no street view available, but we could see the entrances to all of our friends apartments and their favourite places to hang out nearby!

I don't suggest stalking people but maybe take a look at old places you used to visit, it might be fun!!!

Until next time!

Hello All!

It's cold again today, isn't it?

Many of you might have watched the Guy Ritchie film Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. In 2010 the BBC also came out with a 3 90-minute long episode show about Sherlock in the modern day, called "Sherlock." The second series just aired after the new year, and it really is a fantastic show! I recommend you all watch it...

Recently however, I heard that the American TV channel CBS is also going to air a new show about a modern Sherlock called "Elementary." Apparently this show will take place in New York?

But why is CBS trying to make this show anyway? I can understand that because the movies were so popular they want to make money off  of the Sherlock movie fame, but there are IS a modern day Sherlock story that is very well written and very popular, so why does CBS think that their version will be better?

I've heard that the producers of "Sherlock" are going to sue CBS's "Elementary" producers for taking their idea.

I hope Sherlock wins, it really is a great show.

Until next time!
