    • Gardening

Hello everyone,It`s Michi again. Today I want to talk about “Gardening”. For the last two years I`ve slowly been getting into it. Every year I`m trying to expand the variety of my small garden. One of the easiest things, in my opinion, are tomatoes. They are always useful in the kitchen, either to freshen up your pasta or to add to your salad. This is what I`ve gotten so far this yearI`m also growing paprika this year. I was really happy when this small one appeared. I wonder how they`ll turn outAnd then there is basil. This year I used my own seeds which I had gotten from my basil last year. I love smelling it in the morning. Basil is great to use for Italian dishes. How about you? Are anyof our readers into gardening and/or cooking? Please tell me about it the next time you see me.Michi

Hope you are enjoying the sunny rainy season!!On Saturday, the LINGO Cooking Club students gathered early in the morning to make Belgium Waffles for brunch. Belgium waffles are so easy to make. All you need is a good recipe and a waffle iron. First we measured the dry ingredients into one bowl, the wet ingredients into another bowl, combined them and poured them onto the waffle iron. So easy, but there are a few important techniques to make them perfect. Here is the finished product with an assortment of fresh seasonal fruit. And here're my waffle all dressed up and ready to eat. • What`s detox water?

Hi,It`s Michi. As some may know, I really like trying out new things.I recently read about detox water. Detox comes from the word toxin (毒素). It`s supposed to clean your body. And it`s rather simple to make.So I decided to try it at home. I sliced some apples and limes, put them in a glass, finally adding some mint. Then I filled the glass with tap water and chilled it in the fridge for 4-6 hours. Here`s the result:It tasted delicious. There are many other fruit variations you can use, for example pineapple and lime or apple and cinnamon. If you want to know more, please ask me in your next lesson.Until next time,Michi

I'm just very excited for SPRING!!!!Here is a photo for you of a cute little white-eye that was on my balcony recently. He's cute isn't he!!See you next time!! Have a great weekend!!!MAYA

    • LINGO Cooking Club 2/25

Good evening to our Readers!!How are you today? It's a little cold out still but Spring is in the air!!!!On Saturday, the LINGO Cooking Club members got together and made a seasonal special called "Strawberry Dessert". We used 3 packs of さちのか strawberries!!!!We crushed, we sliced, we measured, we mixed, we whipped, we beat and finally we were almost done!!After pouring over the final layer, we placed our Strawberry Dessert into the fridge to set. The finished product was this:My personal preference is to use graham wafer crumbs for the base for this recipe, but today we used the standard recipe and used pretzels. The salty crunchy pretzel crust is a nice match for the sweet creamy middle later and the top jelly layer but, it depends what you like. Thanks to everyone who came on Saturday. I hope you try this recipe again sometime. Maybe next time with graham crackers.Have a great week!!Maya
