take と get の甘い関係

日本人の学習者にとって take ほど複雑な用法をもつ一般動詞は少ない。正確に多くの動詞の用法を覚えている事は大変なことである。そこで試験にでそうなさわりの take の用法を調べてみた。
I want to take a driver's license. (wrong)
I want to get a driver's license. (right)
運転免許をとるという場合は 'get' を使い 'take'を使わない。日本語の「とる」をそのまま置き換えておかす間違い。ただし、「試験を受ける」は、I will take the driver's test. I will take the examination on this Saturday. はOK.
He took a high mark in English test. (wrong)
He got a high mark in English test. (right)
「いい成績をとる」という場合は、"take"ではなく"get"をを用いると"Common Mistakes in English AmongJapanese Students and Businessmen" にある。
"take" は「計画的、意図的にあるものを手に入れる」(=to obtain something intentionally or by force) という意味の場合に用いられ、一方、「与えられたものを受け取る」(=to obtain something which is given one,such as gift, a letter, money, a mark or a grade in examination)という場合二は"get"を用いる、とある。以下の例文はいずれも( ) の中は "take" が正しい。

Falling down without hurting yourself ( ) great skill. (成城大)
Don't ( ) me seriously, I was just joking. (南山大)

Thailand is a country in Southeast Asia. It is surrounded by Burma (Myanmar), Laos, and Cambodia. Thesouth coast opens onto the Gulf of Thailand, which is part of the South China Sea.
Most of the people liven the central part of the country. Many rivers flow through this area, making it very fertile. Most people are farmers. Rice is the main crop. They also grow cotton, tabacco, corn, coconuts, and bananas. In the north, there are large forests of teak, which is a major export. But now they are struggling against a heavy rain. They have done nothing to incur/招く anyone's enmity／恨み.
