2月5日　修善寺梅林情報！！

梅祭りが始まりましたが、梅林は一昨日に降った雪がまだ積もっていました。

梅林内の散策道路は雪かきをされており、梅の見物はできます。

今日は暖かく晴天だったため、ゆったりと散策ができました。

Shuzenji Plum Grove Report on February 5

Plum Festival has started. Snow fall lasted on the whole day before yesterday,

and snow still stays on the ground. The walking lanes at the grove have been shoveled,

so you can enjoy walking around the grove.

As you can see by the photos, it is such a beautiful day today,

I enjoyed viewing plum blossoms .

西梅林は梅の花が咲き始めました。

全体的には2分咲きぐらいではないでしょうか。

雪もすっかり溶けてしまい残念です。

2月3日　今日は久々の雪景色の旅館となりました。

修善寺温泉はめったに雪が積もることはないのですが、

久々に積もったのでうれしくて載せてしまいました。

February 3. Snow falls after many years in Shuzenji where it rarely snows.

I am very excited by the beautiful snowscape at Arai Ryokan and took many photos.

露天風呂が雪景色なんてめったにないので今日お泊まりのお客様はラッキーかも・・・

The guests of today are very lucky to bathe in the open air bath watching snowscape.

ロビーから見える庭園もすっかり雪景色です。

明日には溶けてなくなってしまうのがちょっと残念。

2月1日より修善寺梅祭りが開催されます。

本日、梅祭りの準備に梅林に行ってみたのですが、幾つかの木々が梅の花を咲かせておりました。

頂上からは霊峰富士山が見えてとっても綺麗でした。

Shuzenji Plum Grove Festival will soon start from 1 February to 10 March.

Today, I went up to the grove for preparation and saw plum flowers have started to bloom

on some of the trees. A beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from the top of grove.

During the festival, the tea house of Arai Ryokan at the grove opens to public, where we

serve tea and sweets.

日本列島、厳しい寒波の日々です。比較的温暖な伊豆半島でも肌を刺すような

風が吹いています。こんな時こそ温泉ですね。

It's been days of cold wave in the island of Japan. Biting wind blows over

in Izu Peninsula, too, where the climate is usually mild. This is one of the

best time to relax in hot, hot springs.

毎年、１月２６日は「文化財防火デー」です。

文化財防火デーの制定は、昭和２４年１月２６日に、

現存する世界最古の木造建造物である法隆寺の金堂が炎上したことを契機としています。

昭和３０年に当時の文化財保護委員会（現在の文化庁）と国家消防本部（現在の消防庁）

により定められた防火デーです。

January 26 is the annual "National Cultural Assets Fire Control Day."

It is the day when The Gold Hall of Horyuji Temple in Nara, the world oldest wood structure,

was burnt down in 1949. The Fire Control Day was establised in1955 by The National Cultural

Assets Conservation Commitee(now The Ministry of Culture) and The National Fire Headquater

(now The Ministry of Fire Control).

１５の建造物が国の有形文化財に登録されている新井旅館でも従業員参加のもと、

放水銃とホースを使っての訓練が２４日に行われました。

Here at Arai Ryokan, of which 15 structures are registered as The National Cultureal Assets,

a drill of fire control by the staff was operated, using a water spray.

ホースに放水銃を装着します。

Attach the hose to the tap and be ready to spray.

長いホース、重い放水銃、風向き、職場での日頃のチームワークが役立つ時です。

Long hose, heavy gun and wind direction.

It's an occasion when the daily teamwork of staff will act.

防火デーに限らず新井旅館では日頃から防火活動を徹底し、

本日1月23日　東京では雪が降っているようですが、修善寺温泉は雪が降らないですね。

一昨日降った雪もすっかり溶けてしまい残念です。

たまには雪景色の露天風呂も良いのかもしれないですね。

It's snowing in Tokyo area today, 23 Jan., but not in Shuzenji.

Snowing here the day before yesterday which has all melted.

Wish it snows again and falls on the garden of the open-air bath,

It would be certainly romantic to rest in the bath watching falling snow..

一昨日の夜から降りだした雪。静岡県東部のあちこちに積もりました。

昼間にだいぶ解けてしまったのですが、昨晩の雪で再び積もった場所が多く、

修善寺温泉も雪化粧しております。

How are you, everyone?

It has started snowing from the night of day before yesterday in the eastern part of Shizuoka.

Snowing again last night and Shuzenji Hot Springs is covered with light snow.

朝と比べますとだいぶ気温が上がっていますので、ほとんど解けてしまうでしょう。

天気予報では今夜から雨、または雪との事。

車でお出かけになる際には、滑り止めの携帯を忘れず注意してくださいね。

It might all gets melted by afternoon,

but weather forecast says it starts snowing or raining again from tonight.

Please be sure to prepare for safe driving.

七年前の雪の時はもっと凄い景色でしたが・・・。

先日の日曜、民芸衆団　奏鳴曲（ソナタ）様ご一行がお越しになりまして、

大宴会場の甘泉楼で昼会席の宴がございましたので、ご紹介させていただきます。

On last Sunday, 20 Jan. the new year luncheon was held by the party of Japanese folk art,

Sonata at the banquet room of Arai Ryokan, "Kansenro".

三味線の演奏や歌など、聞こえてくる声や音色がとても楽しく、そして懐かしさを感じる宴でした。

Performance by shamisen(Japanese traditional three-stringed instrument) and folk songs,

Very exciting performance filled with nostalgic tune.

現代のようにものが溢れていなかった時代、能・歌舞伎・演劇・和楽器演奏・民謡が人々の息抜きであった、

また人々を楽しませた日本の良い文化であったと思います。

Noh, kabuki, stage art, traditional music instrument performances,

folk music are among the pride of Japanese traditional culture.

These performances are used to offer a very various opportunity of refreshment to the people

when the entertainment occasion was limited.

Two pieces of hanging rolls of painting collaborated

by Japan's twenty one leading artists of early Showa era.

The paintings were produced at Arai Ryokan on January 15,

1930 on the occasion of send-off party for three delegate

artist before their departure to Rome, Italy to attend the first

major Japan Art Exhibition in Europe.

皆様こんにちわ、いえ、この時間ではこんばんわになりますね。

今日は成人の日となっております。昨日、今日とあちらこちらで成人式が行われております。

新井旅館のスタッフからも二名新成人が誕生しました！

これからも一生懸命、仕事に励んで欲しいなと思うところです。

新年からの忙しさもひと段落しまして、先日屋根掃除をしておりました。

新井旅館、なんでこんなにあるの？というくらい木が沢山あります。

年末年始の風で沢山枯葉が落ちていました。

箒でやっていては時間がかかります。ブロワーで一気に葉っぱを落としていきます。

それにしても枯葉枯葉枯葉枯葉枯葉枯葉・・・・・・・・・。

それもそのはずです。先日修善寺温泉の空中撮影した写真を見たときのことです。

ここが修善寺小学校、ここが修善寺ホテルさん、ここがO久さん、

なんて写真を見ながら場所を確認していたのですが、ところで新井旅館ってどこなんだろう？

その写真で見ますと、新井旅館らしき場所には森があります。

よぉぉぉく目をこらして見ますと、所々に屋根が！あ、青州楼発見！！

大きく育った木々に覆われるように写真には写っていました。

これでは葉っぱが多いのも仕方ありませんね。

頑張って枯葉掃除しないと！

先日、研修も含めて修善寺温泉よりさらに南にある天城の温泉街にある旅館、

「落合楼　村上 」さんにお邪魔してきました。

中伊豆は多くの芸術家達が足を運んだ場所でもありますが、新井旅館は画家、

落合楼さんは文人が多く訪れております。また、登録文化財の建物を有しておりまして、

同じ文化財の宿として非常に興味深い旅館です。

館内を巡る文化財ガイド。これが何よりの楽しみでした。
