海外からアイセックメンバーが来日！
テーマ：メンバー紹介こんにちは、ゆりです！
みなさん夏休みいかがお過ごしですか？
私はもう8月が半分終わってしまった事にびっくりです！Σ(ﾟдﾟ;)
いや～最近暑いですね！！
熱中症には水分補給が何より大事みたいですね☆
体調管理には気をつけて残りの夏休みも楽しみましょうね
さてさて、以前、海外からアイセッカー（アイセックではメンバーの事をアイセッカーと呼びます！）が来日する、とちょこっとお伝えしたの覚えてますか？
今回はその事についてお話ししまーす！
実は7月に入ってから、オーストラリアからアイセッカーが来日していたんです！
彼は通称ロバート！（Robert）
20歳のメルボルン大学の学生さんです(*^^*)
もうみなさん御存知かもしれませんが、アイセックって世界110ヶ国以上にある世界最大規模の学生団体なんです！！
世界中で私たちと同じ活動をしている人がいるって純粋に凄いですよね☆
で、オーストラリアのメルボルン大学にもアイセックって存在していて、彼はそこで普段活動しているんですが、今回縁があって私達青山学院大学委員会と一緒に少しの間活動できる事になりました♪
私たち青山学院大学委員会のもとに海外からのメンバーが来日するのは初の試みなんです！
ロバート曰くオーストラリアでは日本のもの（ブランドとかアニメとかゲームとか…）が凄い有名らしいです！
嬉しいですねo(^▽^)o
彼はミーティングでオーストラリアについてのプレゼンテーションをしてくれたのですが、日本人の私以上に日本のアニメや音楽について知っていました！
ロバートは1ヶ月弱日本に滞在していて、7月31日にオーストラリアに帰国してしまいました(T_T)
しかし滞在中はメンバーと一緒に観光に行ったり、文化交流イベントを開いて一緒に日本食を作ったり、受け入れ事業局のメンバーと一緒に企業訪問に行ったり、みんなでご飯を食べたり、
たくさんの活動をしてすっかり私たちメンバーと馴染んでくれていました!(^^)!
さて、突然ですが、そんなロバートにいくつか質問コーナー！o(^▽^)o笑
英語でいっちゃいますよ～？(^^)/
Q1:Why did you want to come to Japan?
I wanted to come to Japan because it was a country that was both familiar and foreign at the same time. In Australia, we are exposed to many things that come from Japan. Getting ready for school in the morning, kids would see many cartoons from Japan. When I was really young I remember watching Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball and Super Sentai.
Australians are exposed to hundreds of Japanese brands every day. Because of exposure to all of these different Japanese things, Japan was a country I was very aware of, and so was a place I always wanted to visit. At the same time, it is a country with a very different history to my own, with a different set of values and outlook on the world, and its own predominant language,and so that’s why I chose to go to Japan.
Q2:How about AG members? ※AGというのは青山学院大学委員会の略称です。
AG members are AWESOME! I had a great time with you guys! Even if i could not speak any Japanese, thank-you for being so friendly and welcoming to me!! I don't know how many times I've said it, but it really can't be said enough, AG members are just very impressive to me! ^o^
Q3:Did you feel any culture shock?
The problem of communication was the shock I felt the most. Simple things like asking ‘Where are maps of Tokyo?’ or ‘Where’s a rubbish bin?’ or ‘I’m at Daimaru.’ became really difficult things to convey to people.It was my first time in a foreign country, and I went alone, so not being able to say 100% what I wanted to say for long periods of time was at times very difficult for me.
Q4:please give us some message!
Thank-you AG members for welcoming me to Tokyo! Thank-you to everybody I met and got to interact with. Japan, and Tokyo in particular have been places I’ve always wanted to visit, but I don’t think my trip would have been even half as special if I didn’t get to interact with you!

ロバートとの会話は完全に英語だったので、私達メンバーも英語の良い勉強になりました！
滞在中はロバートと英語でディスカッションする機会などもありました
ロバートはこの日本での滞在を凄く楽しんでくれていたみたいです！
短い間でしたが、私たちメンバーにとって素晴らしい時間になった事は間違いないです！
ロバートにとってもそうだといいな
というかそうだと信じています！笑
せっかく仲良くなれたのにあっと言う間の帰国で寂しいな～(>_<)
しかし！ロバートとアイセック青山学院大学委員会の繋がりはこれからも続きますよ
これからは私たち青山学院大学委員会とロバートが所属するメルボルン大学でインターンシップを創っていけたらいいなと考えています
これからも私たちの活動をぜひ温かく見守っていただけたら嬉しいです
